I was referred to Dr White for a hernia problem, with my first appointment on 1 December. I am 81 but still very physically active . He listened to me and realised how much the problem was affecting me and acted very swiftly to put it right. I had the hernia operation under local anaesthetic at Carlisle Healthcare South on 14December. The whole experience was first class, from the initial reception by the nurse, throughout the operation procedure under local anaesthetic and the final debriefing and checking out. Because I was fully conscious throughout I was able to listen to, but not see, the team working together. I was very impressed with the professional way they cared for me. I could not have received better care.

After 60 years and more working out in the gym, exercising including many sit-ups the abdominal muscles were weakened and i created an inguinal hernia which grew alarmingly over the last couple of years. Dr White recommended a protective mesh be inserted within the abdominal area under the position of the hernia. After a local anaesthetic the whole procedure was performed in half an hour. A successful and pain free surgery with just a short scratch and scar in the skin. Well done team cms of Cockermouth, Cumbria

Received Carpal Tunnel Decompression-Bilateral,procedure very quick, in and out in 30 mins, 1 week post opp and feeling the benefit already. pins and needles gone at night and burning in thumb bases and wrists slowly fading. I don’t think the surgeons and staff realise what a huge difference they have made to my life. My mental health was very bad with the Carpal tunnel pain.. again a huge thanks to the clinic. Forever in your debt. And a happy , healthy Christmas to you all. Stuart Wood

My hand surgery only took around 10 minutes, but Dr White and his team were very professional and friendly, taking my mind off the procedure as it happened. Highly recommend.
