Needed a minor medical procedure on my scalp which Dr Kittel carried out. Was done with no fuss and great care and I was totally relaxed.

My father is 95, partially sighted and very deaf. Dr Kittel takes time and trouble with him and is a pleasure to see. Thank you so much.

I have been seeing Dr Kittel for over 10yrs, unfortunately not as much recently as he is very popular! But I do know when I really need to see him and no one else, I can. He is helpful, considerate, listens to my waffling on, no nonsense and basically has contributed to saving my life by getting me referred for weight loss surgery. Everytime I do see him and realise just how popular he is, I worry one day he won't be available - until then he is a prime example of how the NHS is the best in the world.

Not sure what changed but this is not the same doctor anymore! Used to be very helpful - now just follows guides. Constantly trying to save money and think that time and diet will solve all issues. Unfortunately this is more businessman than doctor.

I am sorry you didn't find my particular care of you helpful. I also confirm you are correct in quite a few of your statements. I hope that I am spending the NHS pound wisely, but without saving on patients who need care. We all follow guidelines, it is best practice and I am keen to practice evidence based medicine. I do read the NICE guidelines regularly. I am definitely and advocate of great self care and healthy behaviours. The Kings Fund stated in its 2010 document "10 Priorities for commissioners" that prevention and self care is what the NHS should focus on, first and foremost and I can say I was one of the first Self Care advocates in East Berkshire and the UK.

The best Dr I have ever had, always listens and explains everything in detail. I feel confident in every word he says and I feel extremely lucky to have found him He is kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable

Thank you for this feedback. Only informed patients can make informed choices and therefore it is one of my absolute principles to spend time with patients to explain the scientific background to a management plan (hopefully using language patients can understand).
