Dr Markos Daskalakis

Words alone can’t describe the care and attention given. Dr Markos was really patient and explained everything in details, no questions was too much and he came to see me day and night after the procedure to make sure i was ok and everything was going well. I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon than him, he is an absolute best.

I had a gastric sleeve performed by Mr Markos Daskalakis, at the Spire Parkway Hospital in December 2022, from the very first telephone appointment he put me at ease and answered all of my questions. On the day of the surgery I was nervous, anxious and in a bit of a state but he spent the time I needed with me and did not leave until I was happy and at ease. I had 0 complications after the surgery, didn't need any pain killers the day after surgery and didn't suffer any sickness at all and still haven't. He also allowed me to see the pictures of the surgery, he also checked on me the whole time I was in hospital. I cannot thank Mr Markos Daskalakis enough, I am 3 months post-op and have list 3 stone 3lbs so far.

I had VGS surgery with Dr Daskalaskis at Spire Parkway hospital in August 2021. In the following 10 months I have gone on to lose 11 stone, have zero complications and have a new lease on life. Dr Daskalaskis is so respectful, kind and professional, I honestly couldn't recommend him more highly. As an obese person you get used to being treated a certain way by medical staff. Dr Daskalaskis treated me with such humanity and kindness. He is an excellent surgeon. The day after my surgery I cried and thanked him for changing my life, and he said "you have changed your own life". Yes, but I couldn't have done it without the amazing work he did. Thank you Dr Daskalaskis.

Until 2 months ago, my husband and I, lived in Crete, Greece and are now living back in the UK permanently. Following 12 months of stomach problems, in June this year, I was recommended to Dr Daskalakis. At our first and subsequent meeting at his surgery in Chania Crete, Dr Daskalakis explained everything, in a detailed, professional and friendly manner, which gave my husband and I every confidence, in what was an anxious time. Following tests and scans, Dr Daskalakis performed Laparoscopic surgery on me, in July at the Iasis Hospital,  Chania. Pre and post op, he was always available and talked us through any concerns. The operation was a complete success and I'm happy to say my stomach is the best it has been for a number of years. I cannot recommend Dr Daskalakis  highly enough, a brilliant surgeon, very professional, and an extremely nice person. Elizabeth Tennant.
