I recently had an exceptional medical experience that one hopes for when seeing a Dr and for which I am truly grateful for.
I felt welcome and comfortable during my appointments which was appreciated. The genuine concern for my well-being made every visit a positive and reassuring experience.
Dr Tyrrell took time to explain the medical jargon in a way that was easy to understand. This has empowered me to make informed decisions about my health.
I feel very thankful to have had such a professional, compassionate, and empathetic person taking care of me.

Dr Tyrell has been my gp for a number of years and I have seen him for various issues occasionally. He has a very sensible approach and I trust his judgement. He has correctly advised when it is best to wait and see, and doesn't prescribe antibiotics without good cause.
He has also called me after hours regarding myself or my children and has always been thoroughly pleasant and helpful. Thank you.

At short notice I was seen by Dr. Tyrell and he arranged an EEG by the practice nurse within 15 minutes of my consultation with him. He then reviewed my result 10 minutes later. Impressive medical care.
Dr Tyrell is not my usual GP. However I found his approach and that of the practice nurse courteous, professional and measured.

It' s easy to complain when things don't go right for you but I would like say how impressed I was with Dr. Tyrrell recently. I called at the surgery early afternoon when my wife was unable to leave her bed and was told that only Dr Bird was on duty and was fully committed til the end of surgery with call to make after that etc.
Within the hour Dr Tyrrell was at our home and assessing my wife. He was very professional and diagnosed the problem very quickly. He dialled 999 for an ambulance and organised the handover to the paramedics. I found him to be efficient, reassuring and with a good "bedside manner."
When my wife left for hospital he chatted with me and told not to hesitate if I needed any further advice or assistance. He then called two days later to see how we both were, again offering any help we may need. Thank you Dr. Tyrrell. I do not think this situation could have been handled better.

Dr Mark Tyrrell qualified in July 2000 completing his GP training in 2005 whilst serving as a doctor in the British Army. He served both at home and abroad and loved his time serving his country and fellow military personnel. He left the army in 2007 and joined Crondall New Surgery as a partner in 2008. He was senior partner at this beautiful Hampshire village practice from 2010-2021.
Mark also worked as Strategic Medical Director for North Hampshire Urgent Care from 2010-2021 helping the service provide out of hours GP care from Frimley Park Hospital during evenings and weekends.
In 2021 he moved with his wife and 2 children to Norway where he now runs Vitae Evidence a small healthtech startup company. He also sits on the board of Coremine Vitae. Both of these young companies are focused on improving outcomes for patients by utilising the power of Precision Medicine (treatments guided by individual genetics).
He continues to practice clinically at Kongsberg Legevakt and with EYR an online Norwegian consultation platform. He loves the diversity of General Practice and feels it is a privilege to help patients in their time of need.
