Professor Taubert has helped me with my ongoing breathlesness, and things have improved a lot with a combination of care, compassion and medication. He listens and then focusses his efforts on the things i have put forward, true gent.

When I was first admitted to Holme Towers Hospice I was ready to face the end my life,having lung cancer and an aggressive pneumonia. Mark talked through the issues with care and dignity. He gave me hope and, with the great staff at the hospice, I recovered sufficiently to be discharged after 4 weeks. Mark epitomises what good palliative care is about - compassion mixed with common sense and a wonderful professional assessment of your state of mind and body - he should go far!

Mark provided help and guidance during the last couple of weeks of my wife's life. He was a perfect mix of professionalism and caring and we felt lucky to have him on board our 'team'. He always showed immense reapect for my wife and her condition and I would recommend him to anyone.
