Dr Slade gave great care, listened and was able to quickly establish the problem, after having seen other doctors without the problem being diagnosed. Dr Slade listened and with his treatment I have been able to get back to health with the right medication to alleviate my symptoms on a day to day basis. Thank you.

Dr Slade explained to me the results of x-rays and scan in a very calm and reassuring way.
He listened to my questions and answered them in a way that I was able to understand.
The next stages of my treatment were explained to me along with a with a timescale.

An excellent consultation, so refreshing to meet a Dr who is personable, listens and is clearly interested in your condition and welfare particularly in these days of the high rate of pompous and aloof professionals sadly working in the NHS.
Dr Slade was very reassuring, and thorough and for the first time i have ever seen from any other consuktant was actually writing notes as we spoke
an extremely positive experience, not that you can recommend a specialist Dr in the same way you can recommend a plumber................but if i could i would!

Profile
I am now working part-time as a locum consultant in acute medicine at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, having retired from full-time work in August 2018. Between December 2014 and August 2018 I was a consultant respiratory physician at Gloucestershire Hospitals, with a special interest in lung cancer and interventional pulmonology. From July 2008 until December 2014 I practised in general respiratory medicine at Cambridge University Hospitals (Addenbrooke's) and in specialist respiratory medicine at Papworth Hospital. I studied medicine in London at Guy’s Hospital before completing my training in Oxford, Sydney, Cambridge and Norwich. I worked as a consultant physician at the Oxford University Hospitals from 2000-08 before moving to Papworth to pursue my specialist interests in lung cancer. I was Medical Director at Papworth from January 2013 to December 2014.
