Dr Illingworth was the on-call consultant neurologist when our very poorly baby girl was admitted from a regional hospital. Marjorie was simply wonderful. I remember her asking why I was crying and if she was doing something wrong? I said I was crying with sheer relief that at last someone understood and was taking charge. Someone said that if Marjorie Illingworth can't get a grip on the problem then no one can. I truly believe that. She takes no prisoners but I respect her all the more for that.
