I needed urgent advice and after talking to a nurse practitioner an appointment was made for me to see Dr English, my own GP at short notice. As usual she was extremeley thorough despite being extremely busy and was able to put my mind at rest. We hear so many bad things about not being able to get appointments for weeks on end but at St Lawrence if you really have an issue that needs a GP urgently, they always try and oblidge.

Dr English had to give me some bad news following a chest x-Ray. She was empathetic and set out options for me to choose so I felt empowered and in control. She was extremely kind and rang me at at 8pm two weeks later to check I was OK and to ask whether my appointment to see the consultant had come through. I was able to update her. Her competence, kindness and compassionate approach during a very scary time were greatly appreciated.
