I spoke to Dr. Bhular about my anxiety disorder. She seemed to have good knowledge on the subject but her manner lacked empathy. I felt judged for wanting a particular course of treatment which has worked for me in the past but which she felt was not right/didn't meet guidelines. I appreciate that she was trying to give me the right advice and for many that might have been fine. But mine is a long standing illness which has been described by a specialist as 'treatment resistant' and I didn't feel that she appreciated this. She also impressed on me the importance of being seen at the surgery but my anxiety disorder means that this would be extremely difficult/impossible. The surgery website says they do do home visits in certain circumstances but this was not offered.
