My mother was under the care of Dr Pushpangdan at BRI. I have never met such a caring and compassionate doctor. Extremely competent and an absolute role model in the NHS.

My mother had been having stomach problems for weeks and was admitted to hospital. Dr Pushpangadan was responsible for her and decided that she needed a camera down her to see if anything was wrong. This found nothing. So they put a camera up the other end, and again this found nothing. She was discharged and he blamed it on her meds (warfarin). A few months went past with my mum being ill on and off, and she was rushed into hospital in April with Stomach pains. They gave her an ultrasound & CT scan and found a growth, which turned out to be cancer. She has weeks to live. Dr Pushpangadan assured my mum she didn't have cancer back in October but never gave her the proper scans to find out. A CT or Ultrasound scan would have found it. he blamed everything on her warfarin and messed about with her medication. We are all meant to die at some point in life, but i feel Dr Pushpangadan has been negligent with my mum, and if the cancer had been found earlier it could have been treated and maybe we could have had a few more months with her. I wouldn't trust this doctor with any other patient.
