Following my appointment on 12/6/23 with Dr Bansal, I am utterly disgusted by the level of treatment I received under his care! Upon being called in, he seemed rather more concerned and inconvenienced by having to see me due to my home location being outside of the Leicestershire border! For clarity, I live on the Northamptonshire/Rutland borders with my GP surgery in Leicestershire. However, on balance the above should be of little relevance or consequence, when my GP takes the decision to refer me to a Leicestershire hospital for treatment. Dr Bansal appeared disinterested in listening fully to any of the symptoms I have been experiencing, nor properly contextualising information from my health record when promoted to do so. This all led to a very unpleasant atmosphere with the overwhelming feeling of wanting to be pushed through this clinic rapidly. This appointment has left me with more questions than answers, anxieties due to not being listened to and completely underwhelmed by the overall apathy of this doctor. Healthcare professionals who clearly deem it acceptable to treat vulnerable patients with such impatience and nonchalance, should perhaps rethink their vocation! I will also be raising this matter via the hospital’s PILS service.

I was seen today at Leicester Royal Infirmary Tia clinic. He was very pleasant and took time to listen I felt that he really cared about his patient explaining decisions taken and gave reassurance with no time pressure. I can only say Thankyou for such a satisfactoryconsultation

On Wednesday 2nd Sept 2020 I was seen by Dr Mahip Bansal with a Student Doctor, after a scan, the doctor asked me to confirm why I was a patient, and listened Very attentively to what I said, having studied my scan. We had a discussion relating to my previous temporary loss of vision. He thoroughly explained the possible causes. What impressed me most was that both he and the student doctor had obviously had read my medical history and was aware of the medication I am currently taking and the reason for taking them. He explained from our conversation and results of my test the moser possible cause.
