This is typed from a thank you card received by one of Dr Gharib's current patients (I received the patients consent to publish) 'I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you to Dr Gharib and his staff following my visit to clinic on Monday afternoon. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I really appreciate it. It was also delightful to receive positive result from Dr Gharib. Once again, many thanks for your consideration on Monday, especially so in these difficult times.'

Dr Gharib was the consultant who diagnosed my coeliacs disease at Preston Hospital. I am incredibly grateful to him not just for the diagnosis but for his support and reassurance during the period of eliminating other conditions as part of the diagnosis process. Despite what must have been a busy time for him (Covid pandemic), he took time to explain test results and answer all of my questions. I am glad that I have been given this opportunity to show my gratitude as thanking him the last time I spoke to him just didn't seem enough for the way he helped me and treated me. He is also a lovely man.

The praise for Dr Gharib to him and his staff is immeasurable from all. There are not enough words to say thanks to him and his team for their professionalism and commitment to all their patients. In this difficult time with covid 19 they have remained steadfast and ensured I have as well. It just remains for me to say thank you for all your wonderful work.

My wife died of what we were told was a relatively minor case of lymphoma, her care and treatment was poor from the outset and Dr Gharib was inaccessible during key parts, and we weren't listened to when we were trying to get across that things were getting worse and treatment wasnt working.

I visited Dr Gharib at his Saturday clinic at the Alexandra Hospital having seen four previous Doctors , seeking to diagnose the reason for a Pulmonary Embolism I had experienced. Dr Gharib was immediately able to recognise my symptoms as Lupus Anticoagulant following a viral infection, not mentioned by others. Following a series of further confirmatory tests, his diagnosis was confirmed, and we have agreed a plan to prevent and manage a return. He was professional, very competent, and able to explain what happen, why it happened, and how I can prevent it in the future.
