This oncologist was disinterested and made several mistakes but just didn't care and no apology. I was at my most vulnerable and needed to believe in my oncologist but instead I was frightened and that is completely out of character for me; I am a strong independent and professional woman. She kept telling me she could feel my lump, but I never had one ! Then examined the wrong breast and said my lump was reducing nicely, when I pointed out it was the wrong breast she exclaimed" oh I read your notes upside down"! Finally she sent me for a tumour marker insertion without any discussion or consent and after my 5th chemotherapy treatment, all of it wholly inappropriate and incorrect treatment, only because I questioned it was it stopped. Again no apology. My only regret is not reporting her to the GMC.
