Dr Forster's bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired! I have seen her a few times (when no other doctor is available) with the hope that she will be more helpful / understanding / kind but it has never really happened. I recently went to her having had years of problems with anaemia (due possibly to hypothyroidism) but been unable to take three different types of iron supplements due to them causing terrible digestion issues, so she just advised me to buy weak iron sachets from the supermarket. I have subsequently found out that there is another iron supplement (ferrous gluconate) that is so much kinder to your digestive system and has a lot less side effects and she had not bothered to prescribe this. You feel you have to be the doctor and tell her what you need!
