I had a phone call prior to going in for surgery and i told liz that i was nervous and she put me at ease straight away. On the day of my surgery i walked into the theater and liz and her colleagues all looked after me whilst in there care and put me at ease they spoke to me throught out giving me the spinal injection to the genral anaesthetic

I'm glad to hear the pre op phone call was helpful for you- I find it really useful to get to know my patients in advance of meeting them on the day of surgery, and it gives plenty of time to answer any queries or questions they might have. It's lovely to hear that you felt at ease during the care you received, and I hope you are now recovering well from your procedure.
