Saw Dr Ayling as a locum at my surgery today. She is a rare breed of GP, one that acknowledges that patients with long term conditions know their body and illness as well, if not better than a doctor. She listened to me, undertook a thorough examination, acknowledged that there were some aspects of my medication she was not familiar with, took the time to look them up in the BNF, to ensure no contraindications to the medication she was prescribing me, and checked that I was happy with the outcome!
