Unfortunately dr Higgs has now left the practice. He was the most understanding and caring gp I have ever come across! Having been in mental health crisis on several occasions he bent over backwards to help me and I knew I could turn to him for help. The other gp’s in this practice need to take a leaf out of his book. Such a lovely man

Having been with this practice for over 40+ years who has suffered with hypertension and white coat syndrome all their life, I have to say that in the last 2 yrs he is the only Dr who listened and understood my fears and the only person I allowed to take took blood from me in 40 years, I have to say I am upset over the fact he is leaving and going to another practice. .I hope the Dr that is replacing him gives me the same confidence in them that he did.....I wish him well and know his patients in his practice feel assured they are in save hands.

JUST BEEN TO SEE DR HIGGS MY APPOINTMENT WAS 2.50PM HE WAS OBVIOUSLY STRESSED OUT AND HAVING A BAD DAY HIMSELF. HE TOOK A PHONE CALL ABOUT ANOTHER PATIENT AND HAD AN EMOTIONAL OUTBURST IN FRONT OF MYSELF AND MY HUSBAND AND SAID HE HAD ALREADY DEALT WITH HER ONCE. HIS ATTITUDE WAS VERY BRUSK AND RUDE HE DID NOT EVEN LOOK AT MY LATEST SPINAL RESULTS OR HAVE THE TIME TO LISTEN HE MADE IT CLEAR THAT HIS WORKLOAD WAS TOO MUCH WHEN HE TOOK THE CALL AND HAD THE OUTBURST IN SURGERY. I BECAME DISTRESSED AND ASKED MY HUSBAND TO PUSH MY WHEELCHAIR AND GET ME OUT OF THERE. IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME BEFORE I GET THE CHANCE TO SEE DR HARRIS A WONDERFUL DR ON TUESDAY IT WILL LAY IN THE HANDS OF DR HIGGS. I AM RAISING A FORMAL COMPLAINT AND WISH TO DO THIS OPENLY VIA I WANT GREAT CARE. MRS PATRICIA WATERS

Brilliant doctor ... a real listener to all your problems and down earth guy. If he doesn't know the answer Dr Higgs is honest enough to say so, and then go and find the relevant information to help try and sort out an issue. Has been a fantastic support since I joined the practice. Great doctor, great care great practice! All of the staff are friendly, approachable and knowledgeable.
