I admitted myself to A&E on 28/10/2019 at 8.30 am, with what I thought may be an appendicitis playing up. After very thorough tests and scans by very dedicated members of the A&E medical team, I was handed over to Mr Krystian Pawelec (General & Emergrncy Surgery) to explain my current medical condition. In short my Appendix was inflamed and needed to be remove urgently. Mr Pawelec went through my MRI scan and blood tests and thououghley explained the surgery and risks. By 3.00pm I was in the hand of the Theatre staff being prepared for my operation. the operation was successful and I was discharged from MKUH Hospital the following day. My sincere thanks to all who cared for me.

After A&E admission, I found myself in MKUH with a potentially life threatening illness. I had emergency surgery and have since recovered well. Mr. Pawelec was a key member of the surgical team and a point of contact for me before and after surgery. He explained the issues and options very clearly prior to surgery and has been a helpful advisor afterwards. I am happy to recommend the NHS, MKUH and Mr Pawelec.

Poor communication skills, not interested in the patient, not a kind man. I Do not trust him and would not want to be treated by him in the future.
