Dr Grosser thinks out of the box. I had complained to my Gp's that my thought process had become noticeably impaired for over a decade. They even diagnosed Alzheimer's but Dr Grosser, despite being my heart specialist quickly recognized a correlation between a proton pump inhibitor and a rare side effect that does inhibit memory. Since removing the drug my ability to collect words from my memory and shape sentences has vastly improved. I have taken this drug for 14 years yet not a single GP suggested that it was the cause for my memory impairment. The quality of my life has improved beyond words so thank you. Bruce Rutherford

Response from Dr Konrad Grosser PhD FRCP MESC MEAPCI

I am very happy for you. I use your example to teach my junior doctors how important it is to think of side effects. They - in general - are a lot more common then thought of and often very subtle. you can also read/share my little webpage article. https://kentcardio.com/ppi-medication-risks-dementia/
