Previous comments are very accurate. Dr Sanyal timekeeping is awful. I have seen him 5 times, and normally running 45 mins behind schedule. He does not listen to you and dismisses many comments or shrugs off. Apparently, I am imagining all my pain, or my expectations to be pain free are too high! One visit he tells me i will be on medication for life, the next visit he tells me I wont be. He has never done a physical examination and only relies on data and blood results. Normally cannot wait to get you out of the room (dont think I have ever been with him longer then 8 mins). That being said, his diagnosis has been broadly accurate (as validated by a 2nd Opinion), so his knowledge seems good, but his patient (Customer) service skills are very poor.

I have nothing to add to any of the unfavourable reviews already on this site relating to Dr Sanjal. They exactly reflect my own experience. He arrived late, and was curt and rude. I felt totally short changed by the consultation. He then prescribed numerous tests and scans which when I tried to book them at Reception I was told I would not be able to afford. PS I was seen at Goring Hall

I was left very disappointed after the consultations with Dr Sanyal. I was referred for rheumatology appointment. He was very late for both appointments (this I can understand) but on both appointments he was unprepared with none of my notes or results available (spending time searching for them during the consultation including asking if I had a copy to show him). For the follow up consult after some investigations I was asked if I had a copy of his letter to hand -he had no idea why I was back for a follow up. I did not feel listened to at all and a 'diagnosis' was reached based on assumptions - despite my attempts to explain that the clinical signs didnt fit. There was little explanations of anything. I felt very uncomfortable and dismissed of anything I had to say. I have since had second opinions with very different outcomes. I have not been able to obtain any letters either. There was certainly no empathy towards his patient.

I struggled with systematic symptoms especially back pain for years. I’ve been constantly told there is nothing that could be done or there isn’t anything wrong. This year my symptoms escalated and I was given a referral to a rheumatologist for the first time. I met Dr Sanyal who to my delight took great interest and listened to what I had to say. He scheduled some tests Blood, Ultrasound and MRI. Upon receiving the results we found I had evidence throughout my body some serious, finally getting a diagnosis of Psoriatic Arthritis. He promptly put together a treatment plan and management of the disease. I’m so pleased I met Dr Sanyal, without him I might not have been diagnosed.

Dr Sanyal has been my doctor for sometime, iv always found him to be an excellent Doctor, in actual fact iv found him to be a great listener and very dedicated to helping his patients. A very caring doctor and very professional, he was able to diagnose me with Sereo Negative Rheumatoid arthritis, which isn’t an easy to diagnose, but he cracked it, and has been treating me for my condition for sometime. A very competent doctor, who is warm and kind, with a wealth of knowledge over many years. I have a great deal of trust in Dr Sanyal. I believe Dr Sanyal Secretary is part time, I have spoken to her on occasions, but when I haven't iv left a message on her answer phone and have always had a response to my request.
