I was seen today by Dr Kaya Johnson - Senior House Officer - at UCLH, in response to an unprovoked nosebleed, to rule out any cardiovascular problems.
I have had the privilege of having some of the very best healthcare in the world including the USA and Switzerland, and have met many doctors in different capacities. Although our meeting was limited, I immediately had the impression that Dr Johnson is among the very best I have met. The NHS is often criticised in comparison to private health systems (e.g. the USA) but I can say that Dr Johnson is a credit to this institution.
Dr Johnson was extremely thorough in her diagnostic process and whilst providing me with plenty of accurate detail, never lost sight of the 'big picture' of the problem at hand. This made me feel very at easy and reassured that I was being properly cared for and that all possible factors were accounted for.
Dr Johnson is the kind of doctor you want to have on duty when you have an emergency or urgent need, and should I need such services again, I hope it somebody like her attending to me. My compliments!
