Dr Katy Briffa

Dr Briffa has been immensely kind and welcoming as I sought help during a particularly difficult period in my life. Her warmth and gentle approach really helped me to relax and share my worries in an environment where I felt safe. I am incredibly grateful for this, as I had previously struggled with sharing my difficulties with others. I will never forget the positive impact that she has made to my life. I am forever grateful. I highly recommend her to others who feel that they need support with their mental health.

Katy is a very empathetic, caring professional. She is patient and probing and has a wealth of knowledge in her field. She is also very innovative in her practice and her outlook, always positive and there whenever you need her. I would thoroughly recommend her.

I find it incredibly difficult to trust anyone at any level. During my consultation, Dr Brifa made me feel at ease, she made me feel heard and seen which allowed me to speak about some very tough life situations. I could not recommend Dr Briffa’s services any higher, from start to finish I was treated with dignity and respect from her whole team.. The final report gave me something that can not be described,. it was there in writing and acknowledged that what I had been through was not ok, it has given me the impetus to keep challenging my recovery.

Dr Briffa is an empathetic doctor whom one can trust. She is a good listener, and she gives good guidance and advice in a holistic approach. She maintains good confidentiality where needed, which makes you build trust and seek her help. Her continuous care, including prompt follow-up appointments and helpful resources to build resilience, is really appreciable.

Dr Briffa is an excellent doctor and psychiatrist, and her support was invaluable during a very difficult period of my life. She was attentive, kind, and I felt like she was always on my side, even in my darkest days. Although my consultations were always via video call, this worked very well for me as I was so unwell that I wasn't leaving the house, and her kindness and support radiated through the consultations. I cannot recommend Dr Briffa enough.

I can highly recommend Dr Briffa. I spent around a year working with her, and found her to be gentle , non-judgmental, and open in her approach. She encouraged me to think about certain topics, gave me suggestions on where I could get further help, and encouraged me to be as positive as possible, whilst making sure that I was safe at all times. She listens well, and is sympathetic, but also knows when to interject and make constructive, helpful suggestions. I would certainly seek her out in the future if I felt that I needed help, and would recommend her to anyone seeking an excellent psychiatrist.

I found Dr Briffa to be very kind, empathic, approachable, and knowledgable. I think she took a flexible, holistic approach with me, and was incredibly patient, and containing. I do not have the words to do her justice! I felt I was in very safe hands, I felt we made shared decisions, and I could ask her advice and opinion when needed and she would give me an honest considered answer. Highly recommend.
