An absolute 1st class doctor. A whole day spent at the LRI with various checks following a stroke. All the stages of test were fully explained & at the end a view of the head scan & what caused the stroke. He was insistent that the prescribed drug was taken before leaving the hospital & this was duly taken. Could not have wished for a better doctor & treatment.

I was impressed with the doctors communication skills, in explaining what had happened with my stroke and TIA and what was going to happen going forward. I was first treated by him on Tuesday night at A&E and got me into the TIA clinic the same week on the Thursday

While the whole stroke team were very good, Dr Musarrat was exceptional as my first point of contact. You are very vulnerable when you have just had a stroke and he went out of his way to do everything he could to help me and explain what was happening. I felt that he really cared about me. He is a credit to the NHS.

This consultant spent a significant time with me and explained what had happened. He even showed me the records of my previous stroke, and the very recent minor stroke both recorded by the MRI scan. I felt that he was genuinely interested in identifying what had occurred and sorting things out for the future - recommended a cardiac referral.
