I recently changed to this practice from the dreadful Mandeville Surgery because I didn't feel I was getting a good service there. I've had an ongoing stomach complaint for a few years now that Mandeville hadn't helped me with at all. In fact the final appointment I had with them, I asked for dietary advise and was just given a print out from the NHS website, which I could have done myself and I felt I needed to see a dietician to help as the NHS website advise was too general. My first appointment with Dr. Johnson was such a different experience. She listened to what I had to say, discussed my symptoms with me, gave me a chart to refer to which I'd not seen before which was very helpful and told me about an exclusion diet that may help my problems. I'd not heard of the diet and I was referred to a dietician, which is what I hoped Mandeville would do for me. I've attended the dietician and followed the advise and I've been symptom free for a couple of months now after years of suffering. I felt that Dr. Johnson was genuinely interested in helping me, I didn't feel rushed and felt that what I had to say was important. I've lived here for 8 years now and finally feel like I'm receiving decent care at long last.
