Yesterday Dr. Gladwin, my GP of many years, telephoned with the results of my blood test. I suffer severe anxiety, therefore, was feeling nervous, however, as per usual Dr. Gladwin took time in explaining my condition, giving me one of two options as to how I could move forward, putting me at ease. I was given time to ask questions. These were answered willingly.
Further, I wish to add that when my late Husband was diagnosed with a brain tumour and at a later date cancer of the bladder, Dr. Gladwin was there to support and advise every inch of the way. This of course was hugely appreciated by us both. Dr. Gladwin's usual sensitivity and caring, with a healthy sprinkling of humour, played an important part in helping us to navigate the rough passage ahead. A belated official thank you Dr. Gladwin!
Awful doctor with no care in the world.
I've seen Dr Gladwin many times over the past probably 20 years. She has always listened, never made me feel silly, always been warm and compassionate, and always put everything into sorting out my medical needs. She is everything you would want in a doctor and I hope she never leaves Lilliput!
I can only relate to my experience, and as a patient at the Lilliput Surgery, over which she presides. They, and she, pay little attention, miss visits and don't seem to get involved in proper diagnosis.
This is a real shame because the surgery used to be a lovely place but now our treatment seems to be regarded as a cost to be minimised (and what better way than to ignore it?)
I have seen Karen various times and every time she has been warm, understanding, kind and funny. Visiting the doctors is not always a fun experience, yet Karen has always made my time there very comfortable. There should be more doctors like Karen in the NHS. Thank you so much Karen.
