I was looked after by Dr Niranjan during my recent visit to KGH ED. I had to seek emergency care at KGH when I became breathless after contracting COVID-19. Dr Niranjan was the consultant on call for acute medicine and she treated me with utmost kindness and compassion. Co-ordinated my care following discussion with her colleagues and above all made me feel valued and listened. She is an exceptional medical professional. I was fortunate to be looked after by her and her team.

I was admitted to a&e not breathing and unconscious fur to vivid. Dr Niranjan and her team saved my life and arranged to me to be out on ecmo. They kept my wife updated and, although it was super busy in the emergency department, never stopped being professional. Words or a review cannot Thank Dr Niranjan and her team enough. My two young children could have lost their father but for her hard work. She is a remarkable person and I thank God the NHS is lucky enough to have her working for it as many people will obviously be helped and live/have better lives because of her dedication. Thank you.

My mother who is 83 years old had COVID and few falls at home before taken into King George hospital by the emergency ambulance. We were told that she may have to be taken to out of London hospital due to overcrowding in majority of London hospitals. However, we were lucky that she has been taken to King George. She waited over 3 hours in the ambulance and then again another 40 hours in the emergency before admitted into a ward. She was admitted at the Holly ward and put under the most helpful and highly professional specialist Dr Niranjan’s care. My mum was so lucky to have Dr Niranjan as her consultant. Dr Niranjan has carried out all the necessary examinations and treated my mother as necessary and saved her life. Dr Niranjan kept her professionalism and sense of humanity and spend beyond her working hours and regularly updated us about my mum’s condition and how she was progressing. That updates given us the confidence that she is under real professionals’ care and will get better and soon return to home. My mum returned home after 13 days of hospitalisation. We are greatly thankful to Dr Niranjan and her team. Mrs Varathalingam
