I had several issues that I needed to discuss with the doctor. Dr Porter started by listening and noting all the things I wanted to talk about. We then worked systematically through them. Dr Porter had all the information available - test results etc - to address my questions. Realising that we wouldn't get through all the issues in a 10 minute appointment she focused on some and said she would have a phone call appointment with me later in the week. This meant that I didn't feel under time pressure during the face to face appointment. I came away from the appointment feeling clear about the things I needed to do and reassured about concerns that I had. Dr Porter phoned within days and addressed the other issues - again so that I had clarity about what to do. All the medications I needed were added to my prescriptions list and any future tests were booked. e.g. blood tests. I felt that I was in very competent hands with Dr Porter and that I was taken seriously and treated with patience and empathy. Which cannot be easy the pressure our GP's are under. I am very glad that she is a GP at my surgery.

I felt Dr Porter listened and took interest in what I had to say. The doctor gave me a clear idea of the way forward on how to treat my fathers condition but reassured me that to callback if his condition got any worse. Doctor made me feel I wasn't an inconvenience. My appointment time was between 1pm and 5pm but it would help if the time window wasn't so far apart.

Dr Porter is extremely empathetic and this makes her a fantastic practitioner. I trust what she says and believe that she has mine and my family’s best interests at heart. We are lucky that Dr Porter is at our surgery.
