Dr Mohring has been helping my son with his depression, which is now in remission. We have always found Dr Mohring to be very professional, caring and reliable. My son found her very easy to talk to and to get on with (this has not always been the case with other psychiatrists that he has seen). He first started seeing Dr Mohring when he was 18. After many hours of online research, we considered Dr Mohring to be the “best fit” for him, and we are so glad that we made the right choice. I would recommend Dr Mohring to anyone who is looking for a psychiatrist who really cares about her patients (and their family).

I saw Dr Mohring for a coaching session regarding a long-standing issue I have been struggling with. I had a very positive experience. Initially I found it quite difficult to pin point my problem, but Dr Mohring’s careful listening skills and her sensitive questioning style helped me to organise my thoughts and define the leading question for our session together. During our session I felt that I could open up and disclose personal and sensitive information without feeling judged. This in itself was very helpful to me because I think that my own internal judgement was getting in the way of finding a solution to my problem. Dr Mohring was able to feed my situation back to me from a new perspective, a much kinder and much more helpful one compared to the one that I had found for myself so far. This opened up a space between us in which we could work creatively on the problem at hand. I left our session feeling deeply moved and truly heard. The insights I made during that 50 minute session have stayed with me and I am still working with them. Great Care!

I arranged for my daughter, who is again suffering severe depression after a remission of some years, to see Dr Mohring. At her initial assessment my daughter felt Dr. Mohring had listened and showed insight into her situation, and prescribed changes to the medication. On a return visit when there had been no improvement, my daughter's impression from the consultation was that Dr Mohring was suggesting that she should not expect to be well. While I'm sure that was not Dr Mohring's intention, my daughter was left feeling hopeless about her situation. I then attended an appointment with my daughter, and Dr Mohring did not easily create a rapport with either of us, nor easily involve us in treatment options. She prescribed another medication but offered no follow-up contact, and although my daughter had a disturbing reaction to the next medication Dr Mohring was unaware of this. After ten days Dr Mohring sent a letter saying that she didn't feel she could be of help to my daughter, and recommending other specialist doctors -- in effect, washing her hands of a distressed patient. Fortunately by this time my daughter had already seen another psychiatrist who is working with her much more effectively.

I came to see Dr Mohring 18 months ago suffering from depression and anxiety brought on by work stress. She offered a holistic approach including medication, talking therapy and lifestyle changes which have helped me to make lasting changes to my approach to life. She is caring, intelligent and insightful and I would highly recommend her.
