Dr McGiligan has seen me and my baby yesterday, due to high temperature for both my baby and I. Dr M took care to listen to my concerns and treatment I had administered at home prior to seeing him at the surgery. He checked both my baby and I, reassured me on baby's health. Then prescribed me antibiotics to clear a cold which led to a secondary chest infection. I have seen Dr M once before, I was struck by how much he cared and his bedside manner. He was never dismissive, however got information from the patient efficiently to then diagnose. Having been a patient at Woodlands Surgery for over 10 years, I am hoping Dr M stays with us for another 10!

Appointment for my 18month old son who has an upper respiratory tract infection. The Doctor was brilliant.

Was knowledgeable on my condition but looked at my medical details to see why I might be prone to the infection I had got. Explanation was given as to what may also be attributing to my problem and the recommended treatment. I was asked if I would wanted to go ahead with the recommendation treatment before the prescription was given. The doctor also checked that I knew when my other appointments, for other health issues, would be so ensuring that they were not forgotten. Even though the appointment was running late, not that I am complaining, the attention to me made me feel as if I was not wasting anybody's time. My only suggestion would be that maybe doctors not familiar to the surgery be given slightly longer appointment times per patient
