I saw Dr Hughes a couple of years ago with pre-cancerous throat lesions caused(probably) by smoking. He ordered a quick biopsy. His mannerism is very reassuring and informative, and I feel confident that he and his team at UCH have the expertise and commitment to monitor my diagnosis. But I don't think any doctor can undo the effects of a 40 a day habit. But at least I have a got a warning, instead of full on cancer.

I went to see Mr Hughes and found him very thorough in his investigations. He has referred me on to another department in a timely and professional manner, furnishing me with all the necessary information.
