Very calm, competent and reassuring manner and listens well. Highly recommended. He explains everything in easy to understand detail and makes you feel quite comfortable in a potentially uncomfortable situation. Also, Deborah, the nurse working alongside him has equally all of the above qualities as well.

Dr Swales was great. Informative, caring, good-humoured, patient. He talked me through the procedure with lots of opportunities to ask questions. The procedure itself was painless and his nurse, Deborah, was also kind and very professional. I even got some good tips about where to have lunch in Deal. I get cynical from time-to-time about the NHS, as a vastly costly and bureaucratic behemoth. But experiences like the one I've just had really restore one's faith in the system and one's admiration for the professionals who work in it.

Dr John Swales is the best Dr I have experienced. His professionalism through out the whole process from consultation to carrying out the actual procedure has been outstanding. The professional calm relaxed atmosphere he supplies puts you at ease so much, the procedure is over before you have time to think about it. The pre and post procedure care he supplies is of the highest standard leaving you fully equipped for what you are having done and the aftercare needed and available.
