I saw Dr.Seenan a couple of weeks ago at Gartnavel General, outpatients and found him to be a very upbeat and caring type of person. I am overweight and not once was my weight mentioned throughout the consultation. He suggested I have a Sigmoidoscopy and he felt because of my disabilities that a full Colonoscopy would be a bit much for me. I appreciated very much that he took this into consideration. Yesterday I had a Sigmoidoscopy, which I was a bit nervous about to begin with, so had arranged to have gas and air, as you do not normally have sedation as such for this test. I ended up not using the gas and air as I coped well with the procedure. I found Dr.Seenan to be just so lovely and very professional indeed. He made me feel very at ease, so much so that he ended up seeing much more of my bowel than first intended. This procedure was neither painful nor in any way upsetting! I can only say good things about this Doctor and would not worry in the slightest if I were to be referred again in the future to see him. Considering what I went to the hospital for, I would say that it was actually quite a pleasant experience and that is down to Dr.Seenan and the nursing staff who work there.
