This doctor completely turned my life around - I had been to many consultants/GPs over 10 years and not one diagnosed me until Dr Outhwaite. His knowledge of my medical condition is amazing and makes me feel at ease when he says everything is ok because he clearly knows what he's doing. My meds are effective and specific. Really brilliant man.

I have seen Dr O many times over about 12 years. I have a chronic and incurable pain condition. He is the only Dr who listens properly, refers on for other specialist opinions (my condition affects a number of body systems), takes a genuinely holistic approach. Yes, the multiple painkillers took me back at first, but when he explains why - and how they work - it makes perfect sense - and works. He works with Physio, psychologists, personal trainers to give a really comprehensive rehab approach. By definition most of the people he sees have not responded to the obvious treatments - it might well be a case of management, rather than cure - but every single consultation makes me feel like I have a better plan to help myself afterwards. He has changed my life.

Very unfortunate manner and lacking empathy. Will try and avoid in the future.

I am sorry to say this but poor social skills from your Doctor don't exactly help when you are trying to manage a chronic condition! Poor listening skills, abrupt, lacking empathy and a tendency to leap to pills for pain relief as first resort. 3 visits. None of them satisfactory. Not impressed. will avoid in the future
