Cannot fault this Doctor. Knows so much that other specialists in same field don’t. This includes the relationship between Chronic Pain and accidents plus Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome. Also all Whiplash Associated Disorders. Very skilled and experienced, compassionate and at times quite witty. Has integrity.

I have a complex medical history involving a systemic rare disease and been written off by multiple NHS doctors who told me to abandon my career and all aspirations, before dropping me like a hot potato. After years and years of struggling with doctors and consultants and suffering from debilitating back pain and shoulder pain I met Dr Outhwaite at Oxford . He immediately diagnosed the problems with my back and shoulders and I have seen him regularly over the last 10 years. A truly wonderful person and doctor who had compassion mixed with common sense and the ability to provide solutions which other professionals failed to provide. I would recommend him to anyone who has chronic undiagnosed pain. You will not be disappointed.

I asked for a second opinion after seeing this consultant. He did not listen, wrote a letter which was full of factual inaccuracies and I had little confidence in his approach. Was told I was the kind of patient doctors wanted to work with as I actually wanted to get better. Found this a rather shocking approach!
