I was referred by my consultant oncologist in London to the team in Oxford for their expertise in the management of malignant metastatic melanoma in my neck, where additional health issues complicated the surgical procedure.Dr. Griffiths immediately instilled confidence by his professional approach, combining full explanation of his recommendation of his choices of anaesthetic, with compassion.
The anaesthetic itself was administered with the minimum of fuss and recovery post operatively was easy. I had no post operative pain following the simple pain management pain procedure explained to me.
I would thoroughly recommend Dr. Griffiths for his outstanding expertise and care.

Dr Griffiths was my anaesthetist when I had a malignant melanoma removed from my neck a few weeks ago. I felt very confident under his care and, during the worrying days beforehand, he kept in touch and was very reassuring and friendly. He also telephoned my daughter during the long operation, keeping her informed as to how it was going which she greatly appreciated.
I am so grateful for his care and attention and the fact that I suffered no post operation problems from the anaesthetic is testament to his skill.

Dr Griffiths is a Consultant of 15 years experience who specialises in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care Medicine. He is also a POETTs accredited Physician and provides specialist pre-operative and Cardiopulmonary Exercise testing consultations for those patients that are undergoing higher risk surgery or are deemed at higher risk due to medical or surgical conditions that they may have.
Dr Griffiths has a philosophy of expert, detailed, compassionate and safe care for those patients that he will help prepare for surgery, anaesthetise or look after in the High Dependency and Intensive Care units in his consultant roles at the John Radcliffe, Churchill and Manor Hospitals.
