My father is a patient at East Sheen SW14 Surgery. He was extremely poorly and weak with mobility issues, and I accompanied him as a matter of urgence to his GP on Wednesday evening. He is registered with Dr Tymens. Reception were extremely responsive to my request to see a doctor (with no prior appointment) at the end of surgery. Dr Jo Samuels saw my father at the end of her patients and was exemplary as a professional who took swift action to examine him, listen to his issues and observed his demeanour with care and consideration. Dr Samuels recommended bloods/chest Xray at Queen Mary's Hospital the next morning. We came away completely reassured and valued the integrity and empathy of Dr Samuels. Post hospital visit today, I advised Dr Samuels my father was open to a visit from Richmond Rapid Response which she duly arranged. Another instance of support and care. Please send our thanks and sincere appreciation to Dr Samuels were not only demonstrating role model GP behaviour and professionalism, but her human approach to understanding the needs of my father, who is 89 years of age and fiercely independent. Jo Samuels struck exactly the right chord with my father, was encouraging, while concerned and showed appropriate care and action to support him. In addition the overall ambience of the East Sheen Surgery including the reception team is positive, helpful and a wonderful service for the community. Thank you all. I have seen this doctor on a number of occasions, although not my usual GP, or the one I would choose first. This is simply because other doctors have been at the practice far longer and I am used to them. However, she is so nice to deal with. She never rushes you, she listens and she never hesitates to recommend tests to thoroughly check you out. Have total confidence in her.
