A truly great Doctor who empathises well with his patient. He fully grasps that some patients want to get fairly deep into the science and detail of the condition and responds with information accordingly. He is fully up to date with the latest studies and thinking within the field.

Jeremy is an excellent Consultant. He made me feel very comfortable and listened intently to my health concerns. He then examined myself in detail and explained using a diagram what he believed to be the problem. All this was done in a highly professional manner and with a little humour too, making me feel very relaxed. I would highly recommend Jeremy, as his knowledge and patient skills are excellent and I am actually looking forward to my next appointment!

I have been under the care of Dr Shearman for several years. He is an amazing doctor. He delivers exceptional care and listens to the patient. He fully took on board my anxieties and accommodated them into the procedure. I cannot recommend Dr Shearman highly enough. The patient experience is of paramount experience to him. H. Richardson

I first met Dr Shearman back in 2001 when I was a very ill 21 year old, the treatment I received then and still receive now if absolutely first class. There has never been a time over the last 13 years that Dr Shearman hasn't made time for any of my concerns with regard to my illness, he has even helped me with problems that were not directly connected to my illness and has ensured that I have been seen by the best people possible. Over the years I have come across many Dr's some good, some not so and some that are completely useless. I think we forget that just because you are a Dr it doesn't automatically mean you are going to be good at your job, it's just like any other job, some people are good at their job and some not so good. This has helped me ensure that when stumbled across a bad Dr I made sure I got a second opinion or demanded that I saw someone else. I always use Dr Shearman as my reference point and to date haven't met another Dr that has come close to the care and support I have got from Jeremy and trust me in 13 years with a host of different issues I have met many Dr's. Basically if you have a liver disease in the Warwick area this is the man to see, you may be waiting for a while in the waiting room as his appointments always run over but that's because he spends the time with his patients that is required and not the time that the trust want him to spend !! My only concern is that I live long enough to be around when he retires and that will be a sad day for many as finding a suitable replacement will be very hard if not impossible. Many thanks Dr S for the help and support over the years I know I wouldn't be here today if it hadn't been for your support.

I found Jeremy personable, professional and experienced. My only concern with Jeremy was the lack of all round knowledge of associated symptoms of Coeliac Disease including neurological complications. I was made to believe after a couple of sessions this was unrelated to Coeliac where in fact after further research I discovered this was a common problem. Jeremy was kind enough to reply to a couple of emails when I felt at wits end (I do understand this was over and beyond), however in later months a couple of my emails were ignored, naturally I wouldn't have emailed unless I was desperate. Coeliac Disease has changed my life significantly in the last 12 months and since diagnosis there has been next to no support, advice or help, as far as I have seen this is an issue across the whole of the NHS. If you have Coeliac Disease and have complications unrelated to the digestive system I would suggest you see a specialist who has experience in that specific area, Coeliac is not just about the digestive system.
