From September to November 2009 I was very seriously ill. Through the dedication of the Doctor's and Nurses in the ITU Ward and following on Castle Ward I have, I think made a full recovery. Things in ITU got a bit hazy at times, but I do remember quiet well Dr Shearman coming to see me on a few occasions. The most overwhelming part to me, is that he looked at me eye to eye, and said. 'Michael I am going to make you better' I'm still here! So Thank You Dr Jeremy Shearman.
Most sincerely Mike Ryan.
One is immediately struck by his very obvious competence and knowledge of his subject. But he is one those rarities that combines these skills with a genuine sense of care, a real compassion and regard for people as human beings. This is obviously a calling rather than just a job.
I was very reassured of being in the right hands by being treated by this doctor.
Doctor Shearman goes to great lengths to explain in datail any results he has, and how he expects them to effect you and any follow up treatment , so that both you and he can get the best use of hospital resources. He and his team have and still are helping me. He is one doctor I look forward to meeting , because he tells it the way he sees it .
What a breath of fresh air!....A very kind, gentle, man who is clearly passionate about his work. I instantly felt I was in safe hands and totally trusted him. I felt that there was total mutual respect, which is very important. He totally reassured me and I would definitely recommend him 100%.
I've been a patient of Dr Shearman for five years now. From my very first meeting I was put at ease (which is crucial when having to discuss gastric problems) and my condition /treatment was explained in simple terms that I could understand. His expertise in this field is obvious but the bonus is dealing with a Consultant who believes the patient's opinion and understanding of their condition is valuable.
