I remember Dr McElligott when he first came to the practice in the 90s. He spent a lot of time with me and always showed great compassion. He supported me through a difficult time and I will always be grateful.

I really like Dr McElligott. I feel he has so much genuine compassion for his patients, he's quick to put people at ease, and I feel like I can talk to him about stuff I might have read or concerns I might have on an equal footing. He is very honest and straightforward, though sometimes you can feel he is rushed, which is the unfortunate nature of NHS care. That sense of having to speed through appointments, has occasionally meant he's jump to conclusions, without first listening. However, I am understanding of the circumstances and feel he doesn't lose his humanity in view of this.

Dr Jerry is great for getting illness fixed and is understanding. He's honest and straight up which I like, no messing about. Sometimes a little too short but that's his style. He has tried to offer advice on diet and healthy lifestyles, offers seasonal advice for my husband and his asthma also which has proven useful. Other family members love the shortness of his appointments as they feel if there was a problem they would ask for more time but as it goes, simple health checks or flu jab, quick simple done. No messing.
