Dr. G is the most phenomenal doctor I've ever met. She saved my life through good choices with medication but by far the best thing about her is how honest and real she is. When you have mental health problems and everything feels strange and unreal, having someone you can trust to tell it like it is is exactly what you need. She's also really kind and empathic as well. I couldn't imagine a better doctor.

Disappointing, more interested in money and financial gain than treating patients with mental health issues. Also judgemental with preconceived ideas about a patient. Appointments always run late often by more than an hour. There are better private psychiatrists out there.

Jaya Gowrisunkur treated my wife. I accompanied my wife at every consultation. My wife had several mental health conditions and I feel we had been let down by the NHS. Prior to our first appointment with Jaya I worried 24/7 that 'today' would be the last day I would hear my wife breathe. It was a terrifying situation to be in. I would say that my wife didn't initially take to Jaya. However that was probably down to her state of mind at the time. I have sat and listened throughout all her appointments and seen my wife develop a very trusting relationship with Jaya. My wife discussed openly with Jaya issues that no one else other than myself knew about at the time. Something that I never thought she would do. My wife is now at the latter stages of her treatment and Jaya has supported throughout the process 100%. She has been amazing and I would highly recommend her. Although Jaya is not the most punctual, she is worth the wait as everything else about her is spot on. This includes her support staff who are excellent.

Jaya saved my life. I honestly feel without her treatment I wouldn't be alive to write this review. When I was at my critical point I may not have liked some of the things she said but they needed to be said and she was the only person who had enough understanding of my condition to know the words needed to be spoken. Throughout my treatment I have developed a very strong bond with her and completely feel at ease discussing anything with her. She always listens intently and always understand where I am coming from. She has kept me alive through a difficult stage in my live. After a rocky road which Jaya has guided me along, I am medication free and my life is back on track. I will be forever grateful to her .

I can only praise Dr Gowrisunkur when I was under her care for 18 months. I talked she listened and never once did I feel judged by her. We tried different medications and once some stability was achieved I left her care. Appointments sometimes ran late but when has anyone ever been seen on time for an appointment whether private or NHS? I referred myself to her because I was frustrated with the lack of continuity of care in the NHS which was harming my mental health. I felt like finally under her I was able to talk about my issues and gain some insight into what was wrong. I only wish I was in a financial situation to return back to her as the NHS mental health services are extremely dire.
