I was referred to Dr Vijeyakoon for assessment as I had a minor negative on one of my blood tests. Dr Vijeyakoon listened to me and studied my referral letter which I took with me. He then examined my joints thoroughly and reassured me that I did not have rheumatoid arthritis. He felt that I did not need any further blood tests. I felt listened to and heard.

Dr Wijeyekoon was recommended to me by my Neurologist, and I booked in for an appointment at Pinehill through his secretary. I was really pleased with how quickly I was able to get an appointment. My first meeting was really useful, the questions asked were relevant, and made me feel like I was being listened to and cared for. After asking all the relevant questions I had a physical examination and Dr Wijeyekoon was able to confirm what he had seen, and the next steps. He was very clear about getting my tests done asap, and gave me some great advice about waiting times for scans at different hospitals. Just a few days after the scan was completed I was made an appointment for a face to face follow up, and I was given the results of the tests/scans and a diagnosis. The medical condition I have was new to me, so I was grateful that it was explained clearly, and in a way that I was able to digest and understand. Dr Wijeyekoon was very clear about the next steps, the treatment plan, and the future prospects for recovery. I was also really pleased that Dr Wijeyekoon offered to help me if I was unable to get the right treatment from my GP. Thank you!
