My weight loss journey began 2 years ago. Mr Rink and his dedicated team have been with me every step of the way offering encouragement, advice and support, enabling me to lose more than the required amount of weight prior to surgery and make better life choices around food and excercise. My gastric bypass was on 12th December and I have already noticed incredible differences in my physical health and also my mental health has greatly improved. Mr Rink and his team have saved my life and for that I will always be eternally grateful. The only suggestion I have is that all who are preop should be shown a video of the surgery they are going to have so that they can fully understand the magnitude of their surgery and feel better prepared to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

My journey with Mr Rink and the bariatric team at RSH started in October 2018 and resulted in my gastric sleeve operation in December 2019. Throughout the process I felt supported and informed. My operation went well with no complications. I have today had my 6 week follow up and all if well and so far have lost an incredible 35% of my excess body weight. I cannot thank the team enough and feel I am well on the way to having a far better quality of life.

Mr Rink has provided a wonderful service in the treatment of my reflux from start to finish. Every aspect of the treatment options was explained clearly, and I felt fully involved in the choice-making at every stage. On the day of the surgery, there was ample opportunity to ask further questions, and I was visited following the procedure, too, with an update on how things had gone. With regards to the operation itself, I'm pleased to say that I am symptom-free and delighted with the results (especially, the absence of any undesirable side-effects). Many thanks

Mr. Rink performed a complex operation on my 86 year old mother who has a degree of dementia. The surgery was a complete success undoubtedly due to his skill as a surgeon. Equally impressive was his approach in the outpatient clinic prior and post surgery. He ensured my mother was at ease, explained the surgical procedure carefully and then ensured that both her and myself had time to ask questions. His manner was professional and cordial and we never felt rushed during the appointments. I feel very fortunate to have had my mother under his care and that of his team.

Mr Rink was my surgeon for a Gastric Sleeve on 31st October 2019 in the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Mr Rink and the bariatric team provided me with great Pre-op information, guidance and support over the space of 18 months. FOr my actual operation Mr Rink was fantastic, and managed to perform my operation with only 4 insisions instead of the usual 5 as my liver was very small and high up in my abdomen, showig his skill and attention to detail.Since the operation I have lost 40% off my excess bodyweight and I really feel as though Mr Rink has given me a great opportunity to start a new chapter in my life in a much happier and healther way. Thank you Mr Rink and team!
