After having an Asystolic Cardiac Arrest during a procedure I was nervous about having the procedure again. James made everything really easy to understand and talked me through every aspect of the anaesthetic and the whole procedure. He was very professional but did everything in a friendly and fun way to alleviate my concerns.

After a very very long day waiting for space to open up in the theatre Dr James was a delight to have around. Although it had been a very busy day he was still smiling and friendly and made me feel comfortable from the moment he introduced himself. Him and his team are a credit to the NHS and the service they provide is invaluable!

I had to go into emergency surgery and James was a great help. He told me all about what was going to happen and as it was my first time having surgery he explained it all very well and made my nerves go away.

I am aged 16 and I needed an emergency operation. Dr Andren was very kind and reassuring and took me through every stage of what I would be experiencing as I went under the anaesthetic.

Found Dr Andren to be friendly, helpful, communicative. Explained the operation in a helpful way and appreciated him returning to check up on how my sister felt after the operation.
