Complete waist of time - with all the facts presented to Dr Ahlquist which included Abnormal blood test results twice, statement from my own GP confirming test results were lower than the lower end of normal range yet he criticised my GP, didn’t believe the test results, now requesting to do blood tests and other samples for the 3rd only to be put off for another 6 weeks or so…unbelievable. I left his clinic at Southend hospital wanting to jump off the nearest bridge. Absolutely well and truly disgusting performance from the NHS. Good luck to anyone who has to deal with this guy, you may as well give up straight away if you find out this is who your having to deal with

Dr Ahlquist goes above and beyond. I trust him implicitly and besides his expert knowledge in an area of medicine that doesn’t get much press, he is kind, patient and involves you in your own care, genuinely listening and caring. I would recommend him to absolutely anybody - an incredible doctor who i find it a privilege to have looking after me. I have seen him both privately and on the NHS and his care has nothing to do with whether you’re paying him or not.
