I was initially referred to this doctor by a consultant after my GP Dr R.S Thakor denied my medication, even though it was approved by NICE, the area PCT and hospital consultants, both wrote very strong letters to say that my condition needed the medication. After having a showdown with Dr Thakor, he became very combatative in my health care, so I moved to Dr Astles. Again the issue of cost rose his head, with Dr Astles, but at least the man has a heart. He did see and concede I needed the drugs, the intial days were quite difficult, however he has been great since then. However it is so difficult to see him. I often get hi Partner Dr Joshi whos calling in life should have been to become an accountant or commerce based vocation, in every dealing he is more concerned to see and point out what medications, can be stopped rather than the health problem you have.
