Completely ignored everything I said, very rude and completely unhelpful.
Ignored the recommendations of other doctors.
Also seemed to have no idea of my specific condition, I had to try to explain it to her from other consultants notes, which she kept dismissing.
I really hope noone else has to deal with such an experience while trying to also deal with a life changing illness, this is the last stress you need on top.
Specialist would agree her actions were entirely wrong and potentially damaging to my health.

Sadly had a visit with Dr Southwood today at Abingdon out of hours A&E. No communication with my two year old daughter- complete ignorance towards us. Perhaps a little more sensitivity towards children and they might respond better towards you. Such a rude Doctor. I’ve never come across this ever before. I wouldn’t like to see her again.

Doctor Iveta Southwood Puts you at ease soon as you walk through the door always examines you thoroughly for whatever is wrong. She has been my Doctor since she arrived at this practice and she has always been very good and courteous I would recommend this Doctor to anyone a very caring person.

I first encountered Dr. Southwood when she called me in after a conversation with her as the Duty Doctor some years ago. I was very impressed that she had carefully read my notes ( my medical history is complicated, and includes successful treatment for Hodgkin's Disease and a phobia about doctors/medical tests). Her examination was thorough, kindly and sympathetic/empathetic, and the treatment worked. I have gone to her ever since, and received excellent care. She knows who I am, as it were, and REALLY listens, rather than just producing a standard reaction. She has both expertise and common sense, together with patience and understanding.
