I saw Dr Pande who basically barked questions at me whilst I emotionally recalled the deabilitating effects of my condition. She rather unprofessionally exclaimed that I was unhealthy and had a poor diet (not the case!). When I argued that I’m healthy and my diet was balanced she told me “well your issue is vitamin D, you need this mostly from the sun”. Just didn’t understand why she needed to try and shame me initially if this was the case. When I asked any questions she yelled and exclaimed answers at me in a patronising and rude way. She offered me an X-ray but told “it wouldn’t do much good”. I have since been told that my condition would need a MRI for correct diagnosis but this was never offered by this ‘Dr’. As a result I left the visit distraught. I have subsequently suffered and still seeking treatment. After discussing my condition with a colleague at work who had similar issues, this colleague asked for the name of the rheumatologist that I saw. When o told her of Dr Pande she exclaimed that she’d also seen her and had a very unhelpful and upsetting session. Dr Pande sent a much more informative report to my GP including content that she hadn’t even discussed with me. It appears that she only has respect and time for her peers and patients are clearly beneath her! My husband now attends all my appointments with me to avoid me getting treated in such an unhelpful and disrespectful way. Kicking someone while they are aleady down is shameful. I hope Dr Pande has learned to empathise and be respectful to patients rather than treat them like an inconvenience.
