I had spent most of my adult life feeling as though I was somehow different and a hopeless failure. I just couldn’t understand why I found everyday tasks so impossible. How to live a consistent, regulated life was a mystery to me. I was depressed and at rock bottom when I had an assessment with Dr Iqbal. He was kind and friendly, and I immediately felt at ease with him. He is empathic, as well as being knowledgeable and professional. I actually felt that for the first time, someone really understood how and why I felt as I did. Dr Iqbal diagnosed me with Adult ADHD – it was a huge relief to finally have an answer as to why I am the way I am. As well as suggesting medication, he also talked about how to holistically manage the challenges of ADHD. I have started on medication and have also made lifestyle changes. For the first time in years I am able to focus, I have motivation, my depression has lifted, my self esteem has improved – and perhaps most importantly I finally have hope that I will be able to enjoy the rest of my life! I am hugely grateful to Dr Iqbal for his help - thank you so much.
