Dr Ioannis Ntanos is a kind, funny, highly professional top surgeon and his allyship runs deep to his core. From the first moment I had contact with him I felt at ease and listened to. He was thorough and considerate and made sure that I was in full possession of the processes and facts of the surgery. But at the same time he was not condescending or superior. I truly believe he goes above and beyond to support each and every one of his patients in a totally individualistic way. During my pre-op examinations he stayed with me the whole time and we chatted and laughed about all sorts of things. Greece is a very traditional society and his presence made me feel advocated for and validated. The rest of the staff at the hospital were extremely respectful and kind and clearly have a huge amount of experience working with Dr Ntanos and supporting surgeries such as these. The surgery itself was much much easier than I was expecting and the recovery in the hospital afterwards felt warm and comforting. I am now nearly 3 months on from top surgery and could not feel more like myself. It feels normal in the most radical way. Dr Ntanos I will think about you for the rest of my life, thank you for giving me my freedom.

Dr Ntanos was the ideal surgeon. He was very informative before my procedure, which made me feel very reassured. He also kept in great contact afterwards for when I was worried/had questions about my healing which greatly calmed my nerves from just having had the operation. Overall I can't fault Dr Ntanos and would definitely recommend him.

Hygeia Athens. Mr Ntanos was excellent at every stage. Prior to procedure communication was via email and first online assessment. During pre-op assessment, Mr Ntanos was so clear about what I had to do and where to go on the day, guiding me through everything. On the day of the procedure everything went to plan, the staff at Hygeia were very nice, and it was straight forward for me given Mr Ntanos' prior description of proceedings. When recovering Mr Ntanos was excellent in reassuring me about recovery and took time to go through dressings removal and what to do following this. I am overall very happy with how it went, the whole experience was pretty excellent considering, and I am very glad I chose to go to Athens to have surgery with Mr Ntanos.

Dr Ntanos was very kind from the first consultation he made me feel super comfortable and was extremely knowledgeable and informative about the surgery. I really felt he had spent time with trans people and felt understood. I experienced no pain and really appreciated having a way to contact him directly after surgery as well as the virtual dressing removal as it prevented me travelling far. Overall I'm very happy with my results and I think D Ntanos is one of the best! I reccomend him to everyone. Thanks to him for giving me a new lease of life!
