In January 2026 I had top surgery with Ioannis. I highly recommend going with this surgeon. Ioannis is a practitioner who has clearly taken a lot of time to understand the trans experience. He speaks and acts with incredible allyship for the trans community which made me feel very comfortable throughout my experience of surgery. Listening to his podcast also helped me mentally and practically prep for surgery. From when I first contacted him to the post-op recovery period, Ioannis has been very helpful and easy to reach. He provides the option of free follow-up consultations and gives his phone number to discuss any post-op concerns.

I had a bilateral mastectomy with free-nipple graft in November 2025. Dr Ntanos felt like a safe pair of hands from my first consultation with him. He is very experienced and this came through when I had pre-surgery questions. He was able to explain the answers in a way I could understand with no prior medical knowledge, which made me feel confident he understood me and my situation very well. On the surgery day he was a strong advocate for my care, he spent time with me before and after the surgery. I was very nervous and had not had any serious medical procedure before (let alone under general anaesthetic), and he made sure I had time to meet with my anaesthetist beforehand so I was a comfortable as possible before going into theatre. In the weeks following my surgery, he was very responsive on WhatsApp and email, which I really appreciated as I needed to contact him three times, once with a minor concern which he was able to reassure me was a normal post-operative issue and would resolve on its own, and twice for some paperwork. I am now about ten weeks out from the operation and I am delighted with the results. My chest had always been a major source of dysphoria for me and the second I woke up from the anaesthesia I felt as though I had been put back to normal. My scars are very neat and the shape of my chest looks just right with the rest of my body. Dr Ntanos, on his website, says 'you deserve a proportional chest' and that's exactly what he did for me. I cannot recommend him enough, thank you for being such a great ally, advocate and, of course, surgeon!

Dr Ntanos was so lovely throughout my experience getting top surgery. He made me feel comfortable and made me laugh a lot when I was extremely nervous. He was always available to ask questions and was extremely direct about anything that could go wrong. I am so so happy with my results and can't recommend him enough!!

I had surgery at Hygeia hospital in Athens. Throughout the process Dr Ntanos was a confident and reassuring presence who answered all questions I had and is always very quick to respond to any queries post-surgery. He was very accommodating when I needed to change the date of my surgery, and personally took me through my pre-op preparations the day before surgery though it was a Greek national holiday. The only confusion post-op came from the language barrier in the hospital, however when Dr Ntanos is present he facilitates all communication. I wanted straight scars and natural nipple placement, and he listened to my desires to accomplish this. He also saw me in London to remove my dressings free of charge. I'm incredibly happy with my chest and I can't thank him enough for giving me that new lease of life.

oh my goddd how much can i recommend dr ntanos??? like a gazillion percent dude. one of the kindest, most intelligent and caring doctors i've ever had the pleasure to be seen by - he walked me through every step of the procedure at my consult, answered every question i had along the way with swift grace and kindness, and on the day of the op was an absolute gem. he even helped me get my gown on properly <3 and he checked in on me after surgery whilst i was in a recovery room, making sure i was okay and letting me know how pleased he was about the surgery. for the past two weeks post-op, he's been nothing but patient and kind with me and my questions as recovery goes on, answering me as soon as he's able with the top-most decorum and the best, easy-to-understand information he can offer. i haven't felt a single ounce of doubt about my care pre or post op. dr ntanos has been an absolute pleasure to be in contact with and i've already recommended him to friends of mine who want top surgery due to this. i got my adhesive bandages off today (29th dec) and i am so so so pleased with my results - i am unbelievably excited to see how my chest heals up. any and all chest dysphoria i had prior to my surgery has alleviated entirely and i feel one hundred and fifty bajillion percent more comfortable with myself thanks to top surgery. 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000% recommending dr ntanos for top surgery, he's a legend.
